- General tourist attractions – There’s a few itneresting tourit attractions dotted around the city which I’ve included on my Dresden tourist map. Both the Zwinger Xperience and the Festung Xperience offer immersive audio-visual journeys that bring Dresden’s history to life – definitely not your average museum visit! Another highlight is the Kunsthofpassage courtyards. These cosy, hidden-away spaces are connected by winding alleys have quirky shops, cafés, and some seriously impressive murals.

Art lovers should definitely check out the Old Masters Picture Gallery, the Academy of Fine Arts, and the Kunsthalle. If you’re looking for museums you can take your pick from the Museum of Hygiene, Transport museum and more!
- Shopping – On my Dresden tourist map, I’ve also marked out some great shopping spots around the city. From busy shopping streets as well as large shopping centres, there’s a bit of everything.
- Parks – While there aren’t too many inner city parks in Dresden there are still some lovely spots to hang out. The grassy banks of the Elbe are always busy on a sunny day. Additionaly there’s The Grand Garden of Dresden, Rosengarten and Palaisgarten which are all easily accesible.

Summary
One of my favourite things about Dresden was how most things are located in the city center. Most of the major tourist spots are located around the Altstadt (Old Town) making it easy to travel from one place to another. I hope my Dresden sightseeing map helps you make the most of your time there!
