Track down the Berlin Wall

Once a barrier dividing East and West Berlin for nearly 30 years, the Berlin Wall is deeply intertwined with the city’s history. Topped with barbed wire and watched over by gunmen it became a symbol of terror in the city. However, on the 9th of November 1989, the Berlin Wall fell as the peaceful revolution began, marking the beginning of a new era.

While much of the wall has since been dismantled there are some areas still standing. Some sections are covered with street art while others are accompanied by information boards telling the wall’s story.
